Red Velvet’s Joy has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment.
In a statement shared by SM Entertainment, they confirmed Joy is the third member of Red Velvet to renew her contract with the company.
We are glad to be able to continue our beautiful partnership with Joy, following Seulgi and Irene and their contract renewals. We will work hard to not only allow her to promote with Red Velvet but also as the soloist Joy and as actress Park Soo Young.

Joy also shared a statement reaffirming her trust in SM Entertainment.
I had a series of deep conversations with the company that I have been with for 10 years and have trusted and believed in, and I felt that in the future, we will move together in the right direction.

Joy becomes the third member of Red Velvet to renew her contract with SM Entertainment, following Irene in February 2024 and Seulgi in August 2023. There were previously rumors about how Joy would leave SM Entertainment but in the end, she decided to stay.
