Religious Groups Start Protest Against Movie LGBTQ+ Korean Drama “Love In The Big City”
Korean movie Love In The Big City recently launched in South Korea. The movie is about a closeted gay man, Heung Soo, and his best friend Jae Hee. They grow close and depend on each other as misfits trying to get by in the metropolitan city of Seoul. Through fights and making up, they become irreplaceable parts of each others’ lives.
The movie stars Kim Go Eun and Noh Sang Hyun as the main duo. While the movie has been well-received in general, a religious group has begun protesting the drama version. An 8-part drama is underway with Nam Yoon Soo as the lead. They ask for the drama reiteration to halt production.
Inspect the Korea Contents Association as the Ministry of Tourism, Sports, and Culture wastes tax-payers money to support a homosexual drama!

They also call out CJeS for “supporting the production of a drama that glorifies and encourages homosexuality.”
Netizens called out these religious groups of protestors immediately.
- Go out and work at least.
- They’re acting up so much. Look at how they’re flailing around trying to move backwards when the world is moving forward.
- I didn’t know about the drama, only the movie with Kim Go Eun, but I found about it through the protest. They’re more like promoters for it…
- Annoying.
- F*ck them. I’m also Christian, but God said to leave people alone and told us to love our enemies. Why are they not following it? Tsk tsk.
- Always that religious group LOL.
- If you become homosexual from watching a movie, then you’d become a zombie from watching Kingdom LOL. Their level is so…
The drama version will air on October 21, 2024.
