RIIZE Fans Hold In-Person Protests In Support Of Seunghan

Protests will continue throughout the weekend.

As many know, earlier this month, it was announced that Seunghan would depart from RIIZE following notice of his resumed activities.

Since then, fans supporting the idol have made their displeasure known, first through protest trucks. Fans also began a boycott of all RIIZE content, receiving support from many K-Pop merch retailers.

The next part of the ongoing protest efforts that fans decided to enact was an in-person protest.

Protesting in person is not a new phenomenon, and SM Entertainment has had fans protest in person on more than one occasion, though the circumstances were different.

Fans began spreading notice of the protest dates and times, advising some fans not to attend out of concern for their visa statuses. The protests were scheduled to take place October 18-20 from 12 PM – 9PM.

On the day of the first protest, fans ran into an unexpected deterrent — rain.

Despite this, fans still arrived to protest, following guidelines set, which included a limit of 50 people at a time.

Fans stayed present throughout the day, and after the protests for the day concluded, cleaned up any mess left behind.

Fans worldwide have shown support for these in-person protesters and hope it will help them achieve their goals.

The protests will continue the two remaining days, and fans in the United States have planned a protest near the SM Town Square in Los Angeles.
