As with most shows in Japan, fans may buy tickets by entering into a lottery, with no guarantee that they’d be chosen as a lucky purchaser with this seemingly random process.

However, when the results of RIIZE’s fanmeeting came out, fans noticed something interesting.

In particular, they noticed an unusually high percentage of fans in their 40s and 50s winning standing tickets, which are noted to have restricted views.

Fans are unpleased with the data.

“I didn’t expect RIIZE’s Japanese management to be so discriminatory against noona and ajumma fans. They went to great lengths in filtering by age. As age increases, the chance of winning tickets decreases.

The winning stats by age compiled by Japanese fans are chilling. The unfairness of RIIZE’s Japanese event ticket lotteries is worse than using a ticketing proxy in other countries.”

“The first two rounds of seated tickets were mostly won by those in their 20s. The last round of standing tickets were won by those in their 40s and 50s. Noonas and ajummas won’t want to go anymore after standing for a few shows…

Does RIIZE’s Japanese management have to kill off their fans’ age range like this? I’m a noona fan, too. If it’s like this for a few more times, I wouldn’t want to participate anymore…

In fact, I didn’t continue this time after seeing standing tickets. I don’t like standing for the whole show!! It’s fine if it’s at the front, but standing zone at the back…I give up.”

  • “So stupid. Those familiar with the Japanese entertainment industry know that ajumma and noona fans don’t hold back while spending money. Even for artists from their agency like TVXQ, BoA, Girls’ Generation, and SHINee, most Japanese fans are noonas and ajummas. Besides, there are Japanese groups like Snow Man, which attract younger fans.”

  • “Are they dumb? Those who are 30+ have money and loyalty. Look at the previous situation with Johnny’s.”

  • “Those that have the most money end up not winning. I want to cry. I think I’d still like younger guys once I hit 40.”

  • “This company doesn’t know how to make money. Noona and ajumma fans have the most money.”

What do you think of the accusations?
