A rookie boy group’s cover of (G)I-DLE‘s song “Queencard” has sparked major criticism.
In 2023, (G)I-DLE released their hit song “Queencard.”
CUBE Entertainment‘s newest group NOWADAYS made an appearance at 2024 KCON in Germany.
During their performance, they did a cover of the CUBE senior (G)I-DLE’s song “Queencard.” Netizens quickly noticed that the group had changed the lyrics substantially, including replacing names like Kim Kardashian and Ariana, along with some of the adjectives.

The group was hit with backlash for changing the lyrics. Many didn’t understand why they sung a song about women but then changed the lyrics and especially, changed the female celebrities who were mentioned in the song.
