The group made their debut on June 3 with the track “BADVILLAIN.”

The BADVILLAIN members are promoting their debut on music shows, and fans attending receive gifts, which is a common practice in K-Pop.

On June 5, a fan shared the gifts the audience received for attending the music show recording for BADVILLAIN, and it was a lunchbox and some Lush products.

When the pictures were shared, netizens couldn’t get over the gifts from a newly debuted group to their fans.

Yet, while some couldn’t hide their shock because of how well BADVILLAIN is treating their fans, other netizens voiced anger because of fellow BPM Entertainment group VIVIZ.

The company was established in 2021. After Soyou became the first to join the company, Eunha, SinB, and Umji signed with BPM Entertainment. Two days later, it was announced that they would be debuting in a group called VIVIZ.

After seeing the photos of BADVILLAIN’s gifts for fans, netizens shared anger that all this money was being invested into the new group that had just debuted but wasn’t doing anything for VIVIZ. They shared examples of fans having to pay to promote the group’s shows and lack of social media promotion for the members.

Korean fans had different views and thought it was BPM investing in the first group they had created from scratch. However, they added that they hoped it wasn’t a burden for the idols (cost-wise) as most of the time, designer gifts to fans came from brand partnerships, but BADVILLAIN doesn’t have any yet.
