BTS’s New “Run BTS” Song Credits Are Confusing Everybody — Here’s Some Clarity
BTS has released the first two tracklists for PROOF, a new anthology album that includes dozens of past hits and three new songs.
The first new song, “Yet to Come,” is going back in time to The Most Beautiful Moment in Life albums, also called Hwayangyeonhwa (HYYH). It is the nineteenth track on CD1.
The second new song, “Run BTS,” is the first track on CD2. According to the tracklist’s credits, “Run BTS” was co-created by members RM, Suga, Jungkook, and J-Hope, plus several other talented music industry professionals.
One name, in particular, is stirring up both excitement and confusion: Daniel Caesar. Daniel Caesar is a Canadian singer-songwriter, who featured on Justin Bieber‘s “Peaches.”
That is not, however, the Daniel Caesar who contributed to two songs on PROOF, “Run BTS” and Jin‘s solo, “Moon.”
This Daniel Caesar is one half of Caesar & Loui, a Swedish songwriting and production duo consisting of Daniel Caesar and Ludwig Lindell. Daniel Caesar is no stranger to the K-Pop scene. In addition to working on BTS’s PROOF and MAP OF THE SOUL : 7, albums, he also worked with TXT‘s “LOSER=LOVER” and “New Rules.”
Caesar & Loui’s songwriting credits also include Girls’ Generation‘s “Stay,” f(x)‘s “Spit It Out,” Red Velvet‘s “Red Flavor,” and ITZY‘s “ICY,” just to name a few.
Understandably, this case of mistaken identity is causing a little confusion among fans.
