Ryu Jun Yeol Addresses Backlash During Hyeri And Han So Hee’s Public Feud
Actor Ryu Jun Yeol spoke about the criticism he has received from fans.
On May 23, the actor spoke with the press. During the press conference, the actor relayed his thoughts on his past inaction during Han So Hee and Hyeri’s public feud.
There were a lot of speculation and rumors, which I couldn’t stop. I thought rather than revealing my thoughts it would be better to accept the criticism and hate in silence.

Ryu Jun Yeol then stated that he had always thought it would be better to stay silent in the face of controversy.
I have always thought that was the best way (to handle controversy). Rather than spark up new speculations by responding, I thought the best thing to do for the project was to stay silent so that there weren’t any further rumors.

Ryu Jun Yeol also commented on the hate that he received from netizens. According to the actor, he took time to reflect on himself during the controversy.
I think people liked the fact that I had worked hard to audition and get to where I am now. I think people felt as time went by, however, that I was different from the person they first saw and felt betrayed by that. I read all of the comments and took time to reflect and ask myself I had been doing wrong.

The actor’s statements are similar to the ones he gave when he first spoke about the scandal on May 10.
Rather than try to correct the misinformation about my personal life that was being uploaded to social media, I felt that it was best to stay silent and endure the criticism.

Meanwhile, the actor was recently heavily criticized for staying silent during Han So Hee and Hyeri’s public spat. The issue sparked when Hyeri seemed to suggest that Ryu Jun Yeol had left her for Han So Hee.
