On July 19, KST, the actor attended the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards, a new award introduced by the media outlet Sports Chosun to honor the best Korean content produced by streaming services.
Soon after his appearance on the red carpet, Ryu’s picture from the event went viral. But it was neither because of his visuals, nor due to his styling. The reason why the actor’s photo intrigued netizens so much was the fabric of his outfit.
Ryu Jun Yeol sported a navy blue three-piece suit, combined with a lighter blue shirt and a dark blue tie, at the award show. A brief glance at his clothes makes it clear that his entire outfit was made of Corduroy fabric, notorious for being a thick kind of textile.
Netizens couldn’t wrap their heads around the fact that Ryu was wearing such a heavy fabric in the current warm weather of Korea. Hence, the media pictures of the actor drew immense attention, drawing hundreds of comments about his styling choices.
