“How Is She So Wealthy?” — Sandara Park Clears Up How She Became One Of K-Pop’s Richest Idols
Despite the legendary girl group 2NE1 disbanding seven years ago in 2016, former member Sandara Park is still among the richest K-Pop idols in the industry.
She’s maintained her wealthy status for so long that netizens wonder how she does it. They aren’t the only ones, either.

During her Look Me Up segment, Sandara admitted, “There was a lot of talk about this after we disbanded. People close to me also wondered how Dara gets her money to do so much shopping.”
Sandara saw the comments so often that she “almost got angry” but calmly cleared it up. The singer didn’t earn the majority of her money from promoting as a 2NE1 member.
The singer’s fame generated many wealthy opportunities outside of Korea. Sandara explained, “I didn’t work a lot locally, but I did a lot of commercials overseas. I’m quite popular in Southeast Asia, and I got quite large ad fees.”
Sandara confessed that it upset her when people didn’t realize how much she worked to earn her wealth.

Although Sandara “failed to invest” her money back then, she’s still earning enough income to remain one of the industry’s richest singers. She’s working much harder than everyone thinks.
