SBS TV Variety Programs Cancel Filming Due To The Resurgence Of COVID-19
SBS’s popular TV show programs Running Man and All the Butlers have canceled all filming this week due to the re-surging spread of COVID-19 in Korea.
Recently, more and more celebrities have been testing positive for COVID-19 and SBS has decided to take more precaution for the safety of the cast members and the staff. The Korean government has currently declared the country to level 2 social distancing and is in talks of raising it to level 3.
Previously, KBS’s drama To All The Guys Who Loved Me went into panic mode after one of the actors tested positive for COVID-19. Many other actors from the drama also tested positive, resulting in canceling the broadcast for August 24-25.
KBS 2TV’s new drama Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, which was set to air its first broadcast on August 26, has delayed the show after actor Heo Dong Won tested positive. KBS has decided to run drama and variety shows that take place indoors with the least amount of staff possible for the time being.
KBS’s variety program 1 Night 2 Days have confirmed as of August 21 that they have canceled all upcoming filming dates until further notice.
Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in Korea, much of the entertainment industry will be on hold for now.
