Seo In Guk And Ahn Jae Hyun Pitch R-Rated BL Film

Fans are buzzing with anticipation!

Previously, Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun made their long-anticipated comeback in K.Will‘s “No Sad Song For My Broken Heart,” the sequel to the 2012 hit “Please don’t…”

Netizens had long wished for a sequel to see Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun’s characters end up together happily. K.Will and the actors had teased we might get a sequel. Finally, the singer released his album All The Way on June 20, six years after his fourth album, along with the MV for “No Sad Song For My Broken Heart,” starring Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun, who reprised their roles from “Please Don’t…” While fans had hoped for a happy ending, it was anything but, as it revealed in the end that Seo In Guk’s character had passed away.

Fans were not happy with the new plot twist. Some even developed theories about how it happened or how Ahn Jae Hyun might have time-traveled.

Many fans have also begged for a Part 3, hoping the tragedy can be undone. We need another sequel to give Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun a much-deserved happy ending to this BL (Boy Love) series.

Well, thankfully, Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun are on board. They want to do more, just as much as fans want them to.

Seo In Guk and Ahn Jae Hyun are low-key on a press tour, as they appear in the August issue of Cosmopolitan Men Korea. They did a “couple’s pictorial” and were interviewed, reacting to the success of the new music video. At the time, the video garnered 5.26 million views. They even addressed the famous “World Gay” meme, stating, “We are currently learning about meme culture derived from YouTube and social media. Right now, both of us are enjoying it so much and having fun, almost like we’re engaging in idol unit activities.”

Ahn Jae Hyun revealed that he even did research in his role, watching Hong Kong film director, screenwriter, and producer Wong Kar Wai‘s queer films In the Mood for Love and Happy Together, as well as the award-winning American gay film Brokeback Mountain. He and Seo In Guk wanted to portray their characters as realistically as possible.

They confessed it was awkward initially, but they got more immersed in it as time went on, even proposing ideas to the director. For instance, Ahn Jae Hyun suggested he open his eyes during the scene where Seo In Guk nearly kissed him. The fact that they have been close friends for so long certainly helped.

Seo In Guk is also well aware of the comparisons to the hit K-Drama Lovely Runner. Ahn Jae Hyun said he saw fan theories, such as Seo In Guk’s character reincarnating and meeting his again.

The two also confirmed they would be up to film another part of the story, saying it would be nice to make a series, including a prequel. Ahn Jae Hyun “jokingly” suggested, “It would be nice to make a proper movie too. Shall we make it rated R?” Seo In Guk responded in jest, “I’ll beg the head of the production company I know.”

There’s a grain of truth in every joke! Fans certainly wouldn’t mind an entire film. Besides, K.Will also recently indicated that there would be a Part 3. Read more below.
