Seo Ye Ji Attempts Return To Activities After 2-Year-Long Hiatus Caused By Several Massive Controversies
Actress Seo Ye Ji — who has been on hiatus due to several controversies in 2021 — has decided to attempt a comeback. The actress has reportedly signed an exclusive contract with Sublime.
According to Star News, Seo has been a free agent since her contract with GOLDMEDALIST ended in November of last year and has been looking for a new agency since then. The actress recently started being active on social media again, which also sparked rumors of a comeback. It now seems that those rumors were true.
Sublime — a company involved in entertainment management, among other things — confirmed the news to Star News themselves. The company stated, “We are pleased to announce that we have signed an exclusive contract with actress Seo Ye Ji. We will provide full support and effort to create a new synergy with Seo Ye Ji, who has a passion for acting and a versatile charm.”
Meanwhile, Sublime is known to manage other big stars like Song Kang Ho, Go So Young, Yoon Jung Hee, Tiffany Young, Kim Yoon Ji, and EXID‘s Hani.
Seo had previously taken time off from her activities due to various controversies. In 2021, the actress was accused of gaslighting her former boyfriend Kim Jung Hyun, school bullying, and even academic fraud. Though these controversies caused huge outrage in South Korea, GOLDEMEDALIST decided to renew their contract with her in December of last year.
