Actress Seo Ye Ji Makes First TV Appearance Since Her “Gaslighting” And Other Scandals—Addresses Them
Actress Seo Ye Ji (also known as Seo Yea Ji) guested on TV Chosun‘s beloved Heo Young Man’s Food Travel, making it her first entertainment program appearance since her 2021 “gaslighting” scandal.
Following the scandal, and other allegations that ultimately led her to apologize in 2022, Seo Ye Ji went inactive, except for her brief comeback in the tvN K-Drama Eve. For years after Eve, the actress remained out of the spotlight, especially from TV.
So, for Seo Ye Ji fans, her appearance in the March 30, 2025 (KST) episode of Heo Young Man’s Food Travel was meaningful—especially because in the episode, the actress addressed her past scandals.
When asked whether she faced any difficulties in her acting career, Seo Ye Ji responded she tried to accept such struggles as part of her job. The actress, however, added that it ended up creating “misunderstandings” deeper than she could expect and it got stressful.
There were many, but I figured… Since it’s not a one-off thing, I thought I had to accept it as a part of the job. So I sat still and took it all.
But as time passed, I realized that led to far more people having far greater misunderstandings about me than I could have expected. So, over time, it became incredibly stressful…

The show host, Heo Young Man, advised that she simply stops reading comments and keep moving forward…
…though the comments were supportive of the actress making her way back to the industry.

GOLD MEDALIST has since denied having used the actress’s scandals to cover up their own wrong deeds.
