Since debuting, SEVENTEEN has appeared in many commercials since debuting, as a group and also individually. In particular, whether it’s for fashion or makeup brands, the members have always shined.

Yet, a recent advert with the members has become a hot topic online, and netizens can’t stop praising the group for it.

On August 14, a new advertisement with SEVENTEEN (without Seungkwan, who is currently on hiatus), and of course, the idols all looked stunning, dressed smartly and in what looked like a dystopian environment.

In the advert, Mingyu was speaking about something, and while it would’ve been hard for international netizens to understand the purpose, it quickly became clear and earned a lot of praise.

When the advert was posted online, netizens quickly realized that the advertisement was for Gardasil, which is a vaccine used to help prevent the spread of the human papillomavirus that can lead to several serious cancers.

In photos from the advertisement, the members stood tall with the phrase, “Change the future, change the world.”

When the advert was shared on social media, Korean and international fans couldn’t stop praising the group for promoting something important.

Other netizens joked that while SEVENTEEN songs are sexy and sometimes even “endorse” sex, the group wanted to protect against sexually transmitted diseases.

Of course, while fans joked about the drama of the CF, the most important thing for netizens was that SEVENTEEN took part in an advertisement that could save lives and raise awareness for something that can be prevented. HPV is something that impacts both women and men, and the fact the members are removing any taboo on the topic has unsurprisingly led to them being praised.
