SEVENTEEN Just Made History On The Oricon Weekly Albums Chart In Japan
CARATs, it’s time to celebrate!
Oricon announced on the morning of September 15 that SEVENTEEN‘s latest Japanese album, 24H, has ranked #1 on their weekly albums chart! This chart ranks albums’ popularities in Japan based on sales in the country.
The album sold over 240,000 copies in Japan in the first week, which is SEVENTEEN’s first time having a mini-album reach over 200,000 sales in the country!
However, that’s not all to be excited about. With this win, SEVENTEEN has now become the first non-Japanese male artist to have 4 different albums rank at #1 on the chart!
They’re also the third non-Japanese artist to reach this milestone as well, with only Mariah Carey and TWICE also earning four #1 albums on the chart.
SEVENTEEN’s other albums to reach #1 on the chart have been their 6th mini-album You Made My Dawn, their 3rd full studio album An Ode, and their 7th mini-album Heng:garae.
