It was previously announced that SEVENTEEN TOUR FOLLOW AGAIN TO CINEMAS would be released in theaters worldwide on August 21 with limited screenings. The newly released trailer previews the concert film recorded of SEVENTEEN’s concert in the largest stadium in Korea, the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

Naturally, many CARATs (SEVENTEEN fans) were excited, as for many, this is their way to experience a SEVENTEEN concert.

Yet, some fans are boycotting the film and calling for certain screenings to be canceled.

The call for the cancelation of the film’s screenings in Israel is due to the current war on Palestine. Since October, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reportedly surpassed 39,000, according to Al Jazeera, while over 90,147 have been injured due to Israeli attacks. The surviving Palestinians in Gaza are struggling to survive as they are starving, displaced, and lost homes, family, and friends.

Additionally, many consider Israel an “apartheid state” due to its illegal occupation and administration of the Palestinian territories. So, some netizens consider it unethical for HYBE to release SEVENTEEN TOUR FOLLOW AGAIN TO CINEMAS in Israel, especially during the ongoing war against Palestine.

Israel’s policies and actions in its ongoing occupation and administration of the Palestinian territories have drawn accusations that it is committing the crime of apartheid. Leading Palestinian, Israeli and international human rights groups have said that the totality and severity of the human rights violations against the Palestinians residing in the occupied territories, and by some in Israel proper, amount to the crime against humanity of apartheid. Israel and some of its Western allies have rejected the accusation, with the former often labeling the charge antisemitic.

Consequently, CARATs have urged HYBE to cancel screenings of SEVENTEEN TOUR FOLLOW AGAIN TO CINEMAS in Israel. Netizens are raising awareness, trending #HYBEDivestFromZionism and #CANCELTRAFALAR while tagging HYBE and Trafalgar, a company that manages venues/theaters. Many are also emailing the companies, hoping to make a difference.
