SEVENTEEN Set A New Record On The Oricon Chart With Their Track “Not Alone”
SEVENTEEN has made history by becoming the first K-Pop male group to have three consecutive singles exceeded 200,000 copies for the first week of sales on the Japanese Oricon Charts!
On April 21, the group recently released their third Japanese single, “Not Alone” (also known as Hitori Janai). It quickly gained success, ranking first on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart after selling 314,765 units during the first week.
The group’s previous two Japanese songs, “Fallin Flower” and “Happy Ending,” also sold over 200,000 copies within the first week. The newest achievement makes them the only group to have three singles consecutively sell this many copies!
In response to this, SEVENTEEN’s leader S.Coups expressed his gratitude to their fans, CARATs, and everyone who has supported them!
It is not the first time the group has made history on the chart. In September 2020, they became the first non-Japanese male artist to have four different albums rank at number one on the chart.
Congratulations to SEVENTEEN for this fantastic achievement!
