SEVENTEEN Reveals Whether Any Of The Members Have Ever Tried To Cross Over To Other Units
In an interview with W Magazine, the members of SEVENTEEN took the time to answer various fun questions! One question asked, “Do any members of the individual units ever try to cross over to other units?”
While Carats (SEVENTEEN’s fans) know SEVENTEEN’s units very well, for any newer fans unfamiliar with the concept, SEVENTEEN is one group made up of three individual units: the hip-hop unit, the performance unit, and the vocal unit.
The members of the hip-hop unit consist of four members: Wonwoo, Vernon, Mingyu, and S.Coups who is the leader of the unit.
The performance unit also has four members: THE8, Jun, Dino, and Hoshi as the unit’s leader.
The vocal unit contains the most members out of the units. With Woozi as the unit’s leader, the unit is also made up of members DK, Joshua, Seungkwan, and Jeonghan.
Even though the group has three individual units, they all come together to form the amazing group that is SEVENTEEN.
So, has any member ever tried to switch over to a different unit? Joshua and Vernon revealed that all the members tried out for a different unit that they are in now.
We each tried out for different units. I tried out for rap, but I was better at singing.
— Joshua
Vernon added that, although he’s a rapper in the hip-hop unit, he still loves to sing and sings when he can.
I’m in the hip-hop unit, but I still sing in the shower.
— Vernon
As for what Vernon likes to sing in the shower, Vernon shared he sings a lot of Chari XCX.
Charli XCX! We definitely get our inspiration from American pop.
