SHINee’s Minho Annoys A Second Generation K-Pop Idol Because Of His Unexpected Good Luck
Kwanghee claimed he once got annoyed with SHINee‘s Minho when he was a rookie.
The ZE:A member turned TV personality shared an anecdote on the YouTube channel Careet, where Minho came out as a guest.
In the video, Kwanghee and Minho bickered like family members meeting for the first time in a long time. They also talked about the moment they met for the first time. Minho claimed they got closer while filming the SBS reality show Star King. According to the SHINee member, the two got close because Kwanghee, who sat behind Minho, kept complaining about wanting to sit in front of Minho. It was customary for idols who debuted earlier to sit in the front and rookies to sit in the back, which bothered Kwanghee.
Then, Kwanghee brought up a moment when he was annoyed by Minho. Kwanghee had bought a brand new car and wanted to show it off to Minho—only to realize he was driving a car that was better than his.
One day, when we were idols, we don’t have much money, you know. I tried my best to save money and I bought a car and I went to [show] Minho. But he said, ‘Hyung, I have a car, too!’ I had bought a K5 at the time, but he came out with a K7! I had a 5, but he had a 7! I asked him, ‘Where did you get it?’ And he said he won it from a sports game. I was so annoyed.

Minho explained himself and shared how he unexpectedly won the Kia K7 in a sports game.
I was in the King of King match in the show Let’s Go! Dream Team and I unexpectedly won the game. For the winner, the prize was a Kia K7. So I was gifted the car. But when I told this story to Kwanghee when we met, he was once again complaining to me. (turning to Kwanghee) Now that I think about it, you’re always complaining to me.

In the late 2000s, Minho was a regular guest on the fitness competition Let’s Go! Dream Team, where he showcased his extraordinary athleticism. In 2011, he was crowned the final winner of the King of Kings episode after successfully going through obstacles that tested physical strength and agility.
Korean netizens responded to Kwanghee’s hilarious telling of this anecdote and found the whole moment funny. Some found it understandable for Kwanghee to be annoyed.
