SHINee’s Onew Is Finally Making An Acting Comeback After 5 Years, And Shawols Can’t Wait
Shawols, the wait is over! SHINee‘s Onew is finally returning to our screens as an actor!
SM Entertainment recently confirmed that Onew was cast as the main character in the Lotte Entertainment digital series, 4 Minutes, 44 Seconds. The company also listed him as an actor under his birth name, Lee Jinki, on their website.

4 Minutes, 44 Seconds is an 8-episode, short form series, and each episode will be exactly 4 minutes and 44 seconds long. This mini-series will show horrors based on the noises people hear in their apartment buildings.
It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen him show off his acting skills. He actually hasn’t appeared in a K-Drama since 2016 when he was in Descendants of the Sun five years ago.
Since then, he’s appeared in musicals, like Midnight Sun. He’s also appeared as himself in shows like March of the Ants and Sea of Hope.
While it’s been great seeing Onew wow audiences in musicals and keep us all entertained on variety shows, we’re more than ready to see him star in 4 Minutes, 44 Seconds. Shawols have been reacting to the great news on Twitter, and it looks like everybody’s excited to see more of Lee Jinki the actor!
