SHINee Releases A Never-Before-Seen Throwback Group Photo With All Five Members — Shawols Are “Crying In The Club”
In honor of SHINee‘s 15th anniversary, the group prepared ten “small gifts” to celebrate—the first being a throwback group photo.
Recently, SHINee posted on their social media that to celebrate their 15th anniversary, they will share ten small gifts from May 15 until May 24. And, of course, they couldn’t leave out their iconic catchphrase: “It’s SHINee time.”

Many Shawols suspected that SHINee would release group photos.
They were correct! On May 15, the first “gift” was revealed with the caption “D-10.” The released photo showed the five members Onew, Taemin, Jonghyun, Minho, and Key. The picture was believed to be taken in 2009, as fans couldn’t notice that each member looked very young.
Shawols loved the gift, as seen through the comment section, where they expressed their love for the “OT5” and used the word “5HINee” to symbolize the five members. Fans even noticed that the photo was posted at exactly 5:25 PM, symbolizing their anniversary date, May 25.
SHINee also recently announced that they would hold a fan meeting in honor of their 15th debut anniversary—and the location changed upon fans’ requests. The fan meeting, Everyday is SHINee Day: [Piece of SHINE], was initially scheduled for May 27 at Kintex 7Hall at 5 PM KST.
The plans changed, however, when the fans vocalized their anger about the venue choice. Shawols claimed that the venue had a flat ground instead of tiered seating, causing it to be difficult to see the singers on stage. They protested by using hashtags and renting out trucks with digital screens to drive around SM Entertainment to have their voices heard.
Eventually, their opinions were heard and the venue was changed to Jamsil Area, and the event is now scheduled to be on May 27 at 6 PM KST and May 28 at 4 PM KST.
