As an artist, SHINee’s Taemin often pushes boundaries with his sometimes experimental sounds. The star is also frequently praised for his ability to embrace both feminine and masculine looks in his works.

From shocking fans by wearing women’s clothes in his “Advice” music video…

…to his sensual performance in “Move,” fans have come to expect that Taemin will constantly push boundaries.

Now, the star has taken his gender norm-defying looks to an unexpected venue — a soccer match.

On July 27, a football match between AT Madrid and K-League XI took place as part of Coupang Play’s Coupang Play Series. It was announced earlier this year AT Madrid and Manchester City would travel to Korea to participate in some friendly pre-season matches with local teams.

There was high anticipation for the event, with the organization getting Stray Kids’ Changbin to make the opening kick.

Taemin was slated to perform during the match’s halfway point, and many considered that he may sing more “masculine” songs to appeal to the attendees, only to be shocked when his performance began.

The star wore a suit-styled outfit that featured a white crop top and a black skirt!

Even more amazingly, the songs performed included “Move” and “Advice!”
