SHINee’s Taemin Drops Chilling Tale Of How A Sasaeng Broke Into His House

He was terrified.

Popular K-Pop idols have their fair share of struggles too. One common struggle is that of sasaengs. Sasaengs are known as stalkerish fans who often cross the line in order to get close to their idols.

SHINee‘s Taemin recently guest-starred on Hyeri‘s Hyeel’s Club talk show. As they were active as idols during the same generation, the two seemed to be rather close. Girls’ Day debuted in 2010, while SHINee debuted in 2008. When asked about his experiences with robbers, Taemin dropped a chilling tale of how his house had once been broken into.

It was not by a thief, but a sasaeng fan.

It is been around a year. It’s not a thief because nothing went missing. Actually, I found something instead. They threw trash in my house. After that, I installed CCTVs in my house and outside of it. I was kind of scared after that, because they might be hiding in my house. When you watch horror movies, they always hide under your bed, right? Time has passed, but it was really scary back then.

— Taemin

Taemin is not the only one who experienced such terrifying tales. BTS‘s Jungkook once called out sasaengs who managed to get his home address to send him food.
