He was with SM Entertainment for 16 years.
It was recently reported that SHINee’s Taemin will be leaving SM Entertainment. A Korean news outlet also reported that Taemin would be joining BPM Entertainment, home to VIVIZ.

Fans surprisingly had mixed reactions to the matter. They felt that he had been given many opportunities as a soloist under SM Entertainment, and had been promoted well. His albums were also well-produced.
