SHINee’s Jonghyun tops five music charts with “Deja-Boo”
Jonghyun’s pre-released track off his debut solo mini album BASE, titled “Deja-Boo,” has been well-received by fans, recently topping five major music charts.
Featuring Zion.T, the track is a funky, rhythmic tune highlighting the flexibility of the two stars’ vocals. “Deja-Boo” topped five major charts – Genie Music, MelOn Music, Olleh Music, Bugs Music, and Naver Music. Released only on January 7th, it took over popular songs like Apink’s “LUV,” Uhm Jung Hwa’s “Poison,” and EXID’s “Up & Down.”
As reported earlier, “Deja-Boo” is composed by Zion.T and Jonghyun themselves. With a laid-back and mid-tempo beat, the song is an easy listen for fans to enjoy. The heavy use of synth and bass guitar adds to this retro atmosphere.
Through various image teasers and amusic video teaser for “BASE” and for title track “Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)”, Jonghyun has gotten fans excited for his solo debut and the successful pre-release of “Deja-Boo” is proof the high energy surrounding BASE.
His mini-album BASE will be released on January 12th and is set to feature three other artists: Younha, Wheesung, and IRON.
