Despite their efforts, YouTube later informed BPM that the channel would be permanently removed due to a breach of community guidelines. As of the 16th, Taemin’s YouTube channel has been taken down. BPM apologized for the inconvenience caused to fans and promised to work with YouTube to restore the channel as soon as possible.

Around 3 AM on December 15, suspicious activity indicating another hacking attempt was detected on the official YouTube channel of our artist, Taemin. Upon recognizing the hacking incident, we immediately took recovery actions and completed related measures. Additionally, on the morning of the 15th, we reported the suspicious account and related evidence to YouTube.

However, as of 1 PM today (the 16th), YouTube notified us of their decision to delete the channel due to a violation of community guidelines. The channel is currently closed.

We had taken all possible measures to prevent such incidents, including the use of complex passwords, two-step verification, and rigorous security maintenance. Despite these efforts, this unforeseen situation occurred, and we deeply apologize for causing inconvenience and concern to fans.

We are currently discussing a swift resolution with YouTube and are working closely to clarify the facts. We will do our best to restore the channel as quickly as possible. Additionally, due to repeated hacking attempts on Taemin’s YouTube channel, we will be filing a police report and taking strong legal action.

We ask for your understanding regarding this sudden situation, and we will proceed with restoration efforts as soon as possible.

This isn’t the first time Taemin has dealt with such a problem. Back in September 2024, several artists under BPM, including Taemin, had their accounts compromised by hackers promoting Tesla and Elon Musk.

Fans have since called on the agency to improve its cybersecurity measures, criticizing BPM for allowing such breaches to happen repeatedly.
