Yet, one man has struck fear into the eyes of fans and cemented that dominance, and it is none other than Lim Young Woong.

Since his rise to fame in 2020 after winning the show Mr. Trot,ย he has become known as the only singer that can potentially top K-Pop idols, and heโ€™s every K-Pop stanโ€™s nightmare.

It meant that fans couldn’t hide their fears when it was announced that Lim Young Woong was set for a comeback on June 5.

Many netizens might have seen the fear as a “joke” or “dramatic,” but a recent photo of the MelOn real-time chart following the release of Lim Young Woong’s album proves otherwise.

On June 6 (KST), Twitter was shocked when it was revealed that Lim Young Woong had not only made it to number one on the MelOn Top 100 but was dominating the top ten with five of his tracks.

Of course, the chart changed. Lim Young Woong’s place had dropped within a few hours, but he was still present among the huge K-Pop idols.

An image shared on the Korean forumย theqoo seemed even scarier as it showed that the singer had occupied all of the top ten spots on the chart. While many pointed out it wasn’t as prestigious as the MelOn Top 100, it was still proof of the singer’s huge influence.

When the photo of the charts was posted, while it gained the attention of Korean netizens, international K-Pop fans were also shocked.
