Show Me The Money Contestant Tests Positive For Drugs
A rapper who was a contestant on Mnet‘s Show Me The Money has tested positive for drugs.
According to SBS, on April 1, the Mapo Police Department announced they are investigating a man in his thirties for violating the country’s drug laws. The man is said to be a rapper who appeared on the hiphop survival show.
The police are reported to have received a tip from a female who, on January 28, told police she smoked marijuana with a rapper at a hotel in Hongdae. As the rapper initially refused to be tested, he was let go. The female did agree to cooperate and tested positive for the drug.
The rapper tested positive in subsequent tests and now faces charges pending an investigation. Marijuana is illegal in Korea and it is illegal for any Korean to use the substance domestically or abroad.
Mapo is a district in Seoul that includes popular and culturally significant neighborhoods like Hongdae and Hapjeong.
