On October 28th, Pledis Entertainment revealed to media outlet Dispatch that singer Han Dong Geun has been diagnosed with epilepsy since his first year in high school.
Epilepsy, a chronic disorder caused by excessive and abnormal brain cell activity, has been associated with recurring and unprovoked seizures. Patients suffering from epilepsy have been known to occasionally collapse into seizures and lose consciousness for short periods of time.
On an episode of Happy Together, Han Dong Geun confessed that he had fallen unconscious during a recording of King of Masked Singer in the past, noting “I remember waking up thinking it was morning, but when I opened my eyes I discovered that I was actually on the bathroom floor. I can’t believe that I had finished the recording successfully.”
It was reported that he has been receiving regular medical treatment, and that his condition is slowly improving.
