Singer ØHENRY Steps Forward As A Witness And Defends Jessi Amid Fan Assault Controversy

Singer ØHENRY has spoken up in defense of Jessi regarding the fan assault incident.

On October 28, ØHENRY revealed that he was a witness to the whole thing and was also in the video released on the night of the incident. He gave a detailed recount of the whole scenario on his social media. The singer said he was invited to Courte Cafe in Gangnam by some industry friends that night where he met some new people as well, including Jessi. After the bar closed, all of them, a group of 12 people in total, decided to grab something to eat. As they were walking around, many fans approached Jessi for pictures, “which she graciously accommodated,” he explained, adding that the group got scattered in the meanwhile.

ØHENRY recalled that they decided to wait at a spot to regroup, and while many in their group were intoxicated, Jessi and he was sober, “We sat across from a 7-Eleven until one of our friends found the rest of the group,” he added. While Jessi was chatting with him, ØHENRY said a male fan approached Jessi, accompanied by two other friends. Jessi politely declined their request for a picture as she was tending to one of her intoxicated friends. The fan refused to back down and kept harassing her. As they were about to leave, a man in their group, whom both Jessi and ØHENRY had met for the first time that night, punched the fan, leaving everyone baffled. Jessi was quite shaken by the man’s actions.

The singer insisted on Jessi’s innocence in the whole incident, saying, “I put this on everything I love; she did nothing wrong! I was there and saw everything firsthand.”

He ended his statement by telling Jessi to keep her “head up.”

Meanwhile, the incident has taken a significant toll on Jessi’s career as initially, as she was interrogated by the police over the assault, which was caught on camera. Despite it being revealed that the man was not associated with her, Jessi continued to get intense backlash and apologized twice. Her agency also parted ways with her following the incident.
