Singer Woo Hye Mi, also known as MIWOO, was discovered dead in her home on September 21.
Her body was found by her friends and police as they entered her home in Seoul Mapo-gu, Magwon-dong. The exact cause of her death is currently unknown.
An official from her agency, Downtown ENM, commented on why had people check on her at home.
She did not show up for the meeting for the music video of her new single yesterday, and when we tried to contact her, she did not respond.

They also released an additional statement following the confirmation of her passing.

Woo Hye Mi passed away in her home on September 21. We are worry to announce these sad news.
Her funeral has been set up at Sunsim Hospital in Gangdong, Seoul. The funeral will be held privately according to the wishes of her family. We sincerely hope that you pray for the memory of the deceased, whose life ended too soon.

Miwoo first got her name out to the public when she came Top 4 on the first season of Voice Korea. She then went on to feature on several of LeeSSang’s Gary’s songs, including the hit single “GET SOME AIR”. Back in July 2019, she released her first mini album s.s.t.
