“Single’s Inferno 3” Star Kim Gyu Ri Reacts To Chung You Jin’s “Bad Edit”

One of Single Inferno 4‘s most discussed singles is Chung You Jin, a 28-year-old dancer who graduated from Ewha Women’s University. She is pursuing her master’s degree and enjoys doing free diving as a hobby.
Early on in the show, You Jin’s fellow singles and the show’s panelists seemed to have lost love for her after she returned to the island (Inferno) from her Paradise hotel resort date with Yuk Jun Seo. In particular, her “tipsy” scene on the swings was criticized.

One panelist even described You Jin’s late-night swinging as “creepy,” as if she were a character in a horror movie.
At the time, many viewers came to You Jin’s defense, arguing that she was “misunderstood” and the victim of bad editing.

Viewers aren’t the only ones who have commented on the production team’s editing choices. Kim Gyu Ri, a former Single’s Inferno 3 cast member, became the subject of controversy while on the show. She was criticized for being rude to fellow cast members, in particular Choi Hye Seon.

Recently, a video of Gyu Ri reacting to Single’s Inferno 4 went viral on TikTok, racking up over a million views in just a few days. In it, Gyu Ru comments on You Jin’s infamous drunk swing scene, saying, “No, but…I’m not sure if there’s only that angle to show her, you know?” She pointed out that You Jin looked completely normal right after the swing scene. “See? She looks completely fine now.” She also noticed that another cast member was shown on the swings from a different angle. “See!” she said. “They could have shown [You Jin from this angle] instead.”
The video’s comment section has been flooded with praise for Gyu Ri, with some netizens calling her a “girls’ girl” for standing up for You Jin.
On other social media platforms where the video was shared, netizens pointed out that Gyu Ri might have related to You Jin, having experienced a “bad edit” herself while she was on the show.
