(★UPDATE) SM Artists Cancel Events And Return To Korea In Response to Jonghyun’s Death
Following news that SHINee‘s Jonghyun died of suicide, SM Entertainment artists are cancelling all events.
Artists that were overseas when the news broke are also flying back to Korea, to attend his memorial service and funeral.
Kangta Temporarily Stops Hosting Radio Show
Kangta was unable to fulfill his role as the host of MBC FM’s Kangta’s Starry Night, and special guest MC Illac lead the show instead.
NCT’s Jaehyun and Johnny Cancel Show Appearance
The two NCT members have cancelled their appearance on SBS Power FM’s NCT’s Night Night.
Taeyeon Cancels Her Fan Sign Event
Taeyeon had a scheduled fan meeting which was cancelled immediately after news of Jonghyun‘s death. Taeyeon still has a scheduled Christmas concert, but will most likely be cancelled.
It was scheduled to be held on the December 22nd. Jonghyun’s funeral will be held on December 21st.
Key Returns To Korea After Photo Shoot
SHINee’s Key was in Lisbon, Portugal for a photo shoot, but immediately returned to Korea on a 15 hour flight when he heard the news.
