Aespa recently returned with their first full album, Armageddon, and have been promoting the release since. The pre-release track “Supernova” and the official title track “Armageddon” showed off the group’s tougher sides, attracting attention for their fierce visuals and sounds.

This is why, on June 19, when the group shared the music video for “Live My Life,” fans were thrilled to see another side of the talented group. “Live My Life” does not feature the same kind of heavy choreography and instead focuses on the group’s vocal ability.

However, some fans of TXT have found similarities between aespa’s “Live My Life” and TXT’s “0X1=LOVESONG” too strong to ignore.

TXT released “0X1=LOVESONG” in 2021, venturing further into a more rock inspired sound.

Fans of TXT pointed out that several moments of imagery from aespa’s music video seemed to mirror TXT’s. Two scenes featuring aespa‘s Karina laying down and sitting on a car were alleged to be based off of scenes featuring TXT’s Yeonjun.

Some also noted that scenes featuring the group were similar, with a scene featuring shooting stars said to be copied from TXT’s Japanese version of the track.

Many called out SM Entertainment over the similarities, saying that they were too strong to be just a coincidence.

Fans also recalled other instances SM Entertainment were rumored to have plagiarized TXT, including when HYBE producers were added to the credits of an NCT DREAM song after the fact.

Most fans are directing their complaints at SM Entertainment, rather than the group, for the alleged copying. As of writing, SM Entertainment has not responded to any of these accusations.
