Netizens Discover A Huge Hint At Former NCT Lucas’s Future Plans Under SM Entertainment
Some netizens have discovered an indication of SM Entertainment’s future plans for former NCT member Lucas.
In 2022, Lucas was at the center of a gaslighting and cheating scandal that would result in him being placed on an indefinite hiatus. In late May 2023, after nearly two years of an extended hiatus due to gaslighting allegations, it was announced that Lucas would leave WAYV and NCT.
In the announcement, it was mentioned that Lucas would be active as a solo artist, and his own solo Bubble channel was opened shortly after where the idol has communicated with fans since.
Lucas has also been spotted at other SM Entertainment artists’ events including NCT Ten’s solo debut, as well as SHINee Key’s concert, where the idol gave him a shout-out.

It seems like these things were all prepping the idol for his return to the spotlight, as the huge hint is pointing towards.
After the changes to X’s (formerly Twitter) platform, anyone could buy verification or the blue check mark that would formerly signal it was an official account. These new verified accounts have different benefits as well, as seen with the fan account below.
To add a form of security for accounts that would need verification, like those for celebrities, X added an additional signaler in the form of affiliation to official organizations. For example, JYP Entertainment‘s groups are affiliated with the JYP Nation account and it is the same for those under SM Entertainment.
Recently, netizens discovered an account with the username @Lucas2060553 with a verification check and an affiliation with SM Entertainment.
Netizens have taken this as a sign of Lucas making a solo debut, and there have been mixed feelings. Many feel SM Entertainment has not done enough with their statements about Lucas’ scandal.

No one will ever understand why I hate SM and why I can't forgive Lucas
HIS SCANDAL was the reason for the wayv hiatus and SM let them lose popularity. And now without clarifying his allegations they're still giving him a solo and what are wayv getting – mistreatment.
