Netizens React To New Photos Allegedly Released By SM Entertainment’s Upcoming Girl Group
SM Entertainment has been teasing a new girl group for a while now. As far back as 2022, the label has hinted that they have a new group in the works, likely with at least twice as many members as aespa based on some images released of their trainees.
There hasn’t been any announcement about when the alleged new girl group will debut, but the increasing amount of activity they’ve had online this year has many speculating that it could be relatively soon.
The company’s trainee Instagram account, @sment_training, keeps K-Pop fans up to date on the activities of their not-yet-debuted trainees through behind-the-scenes pictures and other media. And in a post shared just a couple of days ago, netizens believe the members of their upcoming girl group were the ones behind the photos.
The images don’t have an obvious theme or connection between them, and none of the pictures give a clear view of any of the trainees’ faces.
Some of them don’t have anyone in the frame at all!
But many fans are convinced that these pictures have to do with SM Entertainment’s new group, and wonder if they could somehow be hinting at the theme or aesthetic that they might have for their debut.
The comments on the post itself are full of excited fans who are hopeful that there will be a new girl group debuting at SM Entertainment soon.

On a forum post made about the images, fans also shared their thoughts in the comments section, with many expressing their hope that this really be a big girl group with eight or more members.
