SM Entertainment’s Latest Post About Former RIIZE’s Seunghan Sparks Fury
SM Entertainment‘s recent post about former RIIZE member Seunghan has sparked outrage.
On October 17, SM Entertainment shared a post regarding Seunghan.
In the post, it shared that they would be taking legal action in response to defamation and malicious activities against Seunghan. While Seunghan is no longer in RIIZE, he is still an SM Entertainment artist, so it was shared on its main account (while one similar was shared for RIIZE on the group’s account).

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.
We would like to inform you about the legal actions we are taking in response to defamation and malicious activities against our artist, Seunghan.
Since his debut, we have continuously monitored malicious posts and comments that spread false information, personal attacks, mockery, and insults targeting Seunghan. We have already filed legal complaints for defamation and other unlawful acts, supported by substantial evidence we have gathered.
In particular, we strongly condemn the malicious fabrication and dissemination of false information intended to harm our artist’s reputation and dignity. We wish to remind everyone that such actions are illegal and will not be tolerated.
We will continue to take strong action, without any leniency, against any illegal activities, including defamation and slander, towards Seunghan. As soon as we become aware of such activities, we will pursue legal measures and actively respond to prevent further damage.
We sincerely thank all the fans who continue to support Seunghan. We will do our utmost to protect our artists in the future as well.
Thank you.

When the post was shared, netizens were furious that SM Entertainment had shared this when they “failed” to do their job not only when Seunghan was first on hiatus but following his return.
you were supposed to do your job 5 days ago not after all this. pic.twitter.com/G7bpjRMjFT

you’re ten months too late. no matter how much you try now, it will never undo the damage done to his mental health so fuck you

all you have to do is to bring him back NOW. you should have been able to clear his name for the past 10 months. you could have sued the bullies.

What are you going to do, @SMTOWNGLOBAL? File a lawsuit against yourselves? 🙃
