SM Proceeds With Artist Comeback Schedules Despite Recent Stake Acquisition Disputes
They aren’t stopping their already scheduled plans.
SM Entertainment has recently garnered much attention due to recent stake acquisition and management rights disputes. As HYBE became the largest shareholder of SM, many people wondered if SM would lose its color, and concerns about renewal contracts and comebacks for artists were also mentioned. However, SM is firmly holding on and proceeding with comeback schedules, including SHINee’s Key, Onew, and EXO’s Kai.
Key will release his new album on March 6, making it his first solo comeback in about a year. Previously, Key also dropped his second full-length repackage album, Killer. Most recently, Kai announced news of his comeback after a year and four months.
