“SNL Korea” Parodies LE SSERAFIM’s Coachella Controversy And Other Idols In Latest Comedy Skit

They parodied some of K-Pop’s largest controversies in the past year.

Comedy show SNL Korea‘s most recent episode invited actor Kim Sung Kyun as their guest actor. The problem arose when they decided to create a parody boy group called RICE. The members recreated some of K-Pop’s major controversies from the past year. The show parodied LE SSERAFIM‘s recent Coachella controversy, going as far as to name their show “Goa-chella.” They also imitated Huh Yunjin‘s way of hyping up the audience.

Here is Yunjin’s original introduction.

Not only that, the show also created a controversial scenario for a RICE member. They parodied ZEROBASEONE Jiwoong‘s previous controversy where he was accused of cursing before a videocall fansign.

Sol, thanks for saying nice things to me. Hwaiting! F*ck, forget about being an idol, I want to quit.

In Kim Jiwoong’s controversy, he was allegedly heard saying “ssibal” as soon as the camera was covered. His agency has denied allegations.

The parodies have hit over millions of views in clips on X. Many do not agree with the show’s decision to recreate these moments that have become painful for both the idols and fans involved.
