"It's Been Way Too Long" — MAMAMOO's Solar Gets Real About Her Disinterest In Approaching Men

On August 11, KST, MAMAMOO members Solar and Moonbyul, currently promoting as MAMAMOO+, appeared on Tak Jae Hoon’s YouTube show No Back Tak Jae Hoon. They showed their unfiltered, honest charm while tackling “controversial” topics, including their dating life.

When Tak Jae Hoon asked Solar if she had a boyfriend, the singer answered immediately, “No.” The host got curious about why, and Solar explained that men usually don’t approach her or Moonbyul and are not interested in approaching men first either. In fact, now, if someone makes a move on them, they get awkward and avoid it.

Tak Jae Hoon: Do you have a boyfriend?
Solar: I don’t
Tak Jae Hoon: Why?
Solar: First of all, men don’t approach us.
Shin Gyu Jin: You could approach them first.
Tak Jae Hoon: Are you waiting for them to approach you?
Solar: We don’t even have any intentions of approaching them. If someone tries to approach us, we will avoid them.

But in the past, Solar revealed that she was more open-minded toward dating men. When the host joked if she is yet to have her first kiss, the singer answered that she was more “proactive” in the past, but things have changed after she became a celebrity.

Tak Jae Hoon: Solar, so you haven’t had your first kiss yet?
Solar: I used to be more proactive in the past.
Tak Jae Hoon: So you’re saying things changed that much after you became a celebrity?
Solar: Yes
Tak Jae Hoon: When was your last kiss?
Solar: It’s been way too long.

Talking about her ideal type, Solar revealed that she is into men with buff bodies. But right now, Solar said that she is at an age where her priority is not dating but her career.
