Somi Accidentally Gave A Song Spoiler In Her Instagram Live, Fans Feel Confident It’s A Specific Idol’s Voice

Earlier today, soloist Somi went on Instagram live while at YG Entertainment‘s company building to talk with fans.

Her Instagram live was cheerful and upbeat, and her fans enjoyed everything from Somi talking about TREASURE‘s TikTok challenge, “Darari.”

To a getting a greeting from aespa‘s Giselle, one of Somi’s close friends.

But while Somi, who is signed to YG Entertainment’s The Black Label, was wandering around the building looking for places to film her Instagram live, the soloist accidentally walked in on an occupied studio… that was blasting an unreleased song.

Although fans watching Somi’s live only heard a brief excerpt before the soloist realized and quickly shut the door, running away…

… The little fans heard of the song was enough for them to assume that the singer was none other than BLACKPINK‘s Jennie.

The voice certainly sounds like the talented idol’s, and, given all the circumstances, it would certainly make sense.

BLACKPINK is one of the only female artists currently under YG Entertainment alongside Somi and AKMU‘s Lee Suhyun.

And fans of BLACKPINK have been hoping for a comeback from the group for over a year since The Album was released in October 2020.

Korea Investment & Securities also recently released their predictions for upcoming schedules for the artists at YG Entertainment. And while they did predict that BLACKPINK would have a comeback this year, the lack of specificity about timing left fans concerned.

And even though the timeline for a BLACKPINK comeback hasn’t been confirmed, Jennie herself has assured fans that the group has been working hard on a comeback.

So fans are convinced that Somi’s unintentional spoiler is from BLACKPINK’s upcoming comeback.

Especially since the voice sounded so much like Jennie’s.

And although fans are having a good time, both rejoicing at the further hope of a BLACKPINK comeback in the new future…

… As well as teasing Somi for YG Entertainment’s possible reaction to the spoiler…

… It’s important to remember that Somi definitely did not intend to spoil the song.

But everyone can say thank you to Somi for the newfound hope.
