Somi Receives Backlash For Her Recent TikTok — Idol Responds
K-Pop idol Somi has responded to criticisms of her latest TikTok.
Recently, Somi shared a video on TikTok of the song “Fake Jammin” by Sexyy Red and it was a mash-up of different clips of the idol throughout the day.
Yet, it was the caption that gained the attention of fans as she wrote, “Adayinthehood.”
When netizens saw the caption, the idol came under criticism. Although some commented about it lightheartedly, Somi had some serious criticism, with some saying it was crazy to speak about being in the “hood” while wearing the designer brand Prada.
On X, Somi received similar criticisms for her caption.

Somi must’ve seen the comments and quickly made sure to clarify her comment to netizens, adding that when she referred to the “Hood” in the caption, it was actually meant to mean “Neighborhood,” but she had shortened the word.
It shows that Somi is aware of the comments and was quick to respond.
