“Happily Married” Singer-Turned-Actress Exposes She Never Wanted To Get Married
On July 30, singer and actress Son Dam Bi appeared with her mother at the end of TV Chosun’s Daddy And Me.
In the teaser, she revealed why she contemplated marrying Lee Gyu Hyuk, a former speed skater.
She introduced the family members and talked about her father.
My family members consist of me, my husband, and my mother. My father passed away eleven years ago, three months after his lung cancer metastasized.

Her mother shed tears as she expressed how much her daughter had to endure for the family.
My daughter went through a lot as the head of the household. She did her duties as the daughter. I always tear up when I see my child.

Son Dam Bi also confessed that she initially didn’t want to get married.
Honestly, I didn’t want to get married. I always had question marks after looking at my parent’s marriage. It’s not like they cared for me. What did you guys do for me?

Her mother responded by saying it wasn’t about her.
It’s not because we didn’t like you. There were other conflicts with your father.

In an interview with the production team, her mother confessed that she slapped her daughter on the cheek.
She said that because she didn’t receive love from her parents, she wouldn’t be able to give love to anyone either. She was so angry that she said it would be better to die, so I slapped her on both cheeks. I said, ‘You horrible b*tch, is that all you can say?’
