Son Heung Min Addresses Recent Controversy In An Interview
Soccer star Son Heung Min recently headed back to join Tottenham after a rousing season playing for the Korean national team. He was received with open arms by Tottenham. It was a heartwarming sight, especially after the rough week Son has had.
Son was caught in a controversy when he injured his finger. The media reported that he had gotten into a scuffle with the younger players on the Korean national team, namely Lee Kang In. It was said that Son had been trying to coax the younger players into a more somber mood with sufficient rest before the match with Jordan. The younger players continued to play table tennis, leading to the brawl. In the midst of it all, Sonny ended up injuring his finger.
In an interview with SPOTIME, he addressed the difficult week he had. He was very thankful for the warm welcome from the fans of Tottenham.
I would love to say thank you and… What can I say? It was a huge honor getting a reception like that. It was the toughest week, probably I would say, of my life. But you guys made me very happy again and lifted me up. I will never forget this moment, for the whole of my life, until I die. I will make sure that we will make something special, try to make it happen this year. As long as I play for Spurs, I will try to do my best to make you happy and smile and proud. Thank you so much for your amazing support again, and I will see you.
