Song Joong Ki Tells All About Reuniting With Kim Ji Won For His “Queen Of Tears” Cameo

Actor Song Joong Ki shocked tvN K-Drama Queen of Tears viewers when he unexpectedly reprised his role as Vincenzo Cassano from the 2021 hit K-Drama Vincenzo in Episode 8. He returned to the role as Hong Hae In’s (Kim Ji Won) lawyer!
Some might automatically assume Song Joong Ki’s cameo as Vincenzo Cassano was due to one of Queen of Tears‘ two directors, Kim Hee Won, who had previously directed Vincenzo. Song Joong Ki also had a brief cameo in one of her other K-Dramas, Little Women.
Yet, Song Joong Ki has a connection to another Queen of Tears crew member, Kim Ji Won. They previously worked together on the 2016 K-Drama Descendants of the Sun and the 2019 K-Drama Arthdal Chronicles.
So, in a recent behind-the-scenes clip from filming Queen of Tears, Song Joong Ki explained, “I came here today to offer some support, as actress Kim Ji Won is working hard on the set. However, I find myself enjoying the shooting process even more.” He talked about working with her again after so long.
Although I’ve worked on many projects with Ji Won, it feels like it’s been a while since I’ve felt such a tremendous energy from her on set. As one of the viewers, I’ll make sure to watch and support Queen of Tears with enthusiasm!
