Actor Song Joong Ki recently paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Lee Sun Kyun during his appearance on MBC Radio FM4U‘s A Perfect Day with Lee Sang Soon on December 24. Song appeared on the show to promote his latest film Bogota, but took a moment to honor Lee Sun Kyun’s memory.

During the broadcast, Song Joong Ki selected “Grown Ups,” a track from the OST of Lee Sun Kyun’s beloved K-Drama My Mister, as one of his favorite songs. Explaining his choice, he shared just how much he misses the late actor.

He went on to reveal that he recently began rewatching the series and noted that the date of the broadcast was close to Lee Sun Kyun’s death anniversary.

Song Joong Ki’s admiration for Lee Sun Kyun has been evident in his previous appearances. At the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in October, the late actor was posthumously awarded the Korean Cinema Achievement Award. The festival also held a tribute segment, featuring a video montage of Lee Sun Kyun’s most impactful works, including My Mister and his final film, Land of Happiness.

As the tribute video played, Song Joong Ki, along with fellow actors Lee Hee Joon and Ha Yoon Kyung, was visibly moved, struggling to hold back tears as they watched.
