South Korea Declares 7-Day National Mourning Period Following Jeju Air Plane Crash

The South Korean government has declared a 7-day national mourning period after Jeju Air Flight 2216 crashed at Muan International Airport on December 29.
The aircraft, flying in from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed after landing on its belly and veering off the runway.
As of 7pm KST on December 29, 177 of the 181 passengers and crew members were confirmed dead. Two survived, and two were still considered missing.
For the Korean entertainment industry, broadcasters quickly announced the cancelations of shows following the tragic news.

With a 7-day mourning period officially declared, more cancellations are expected. The mourning period will end on Saturday, January 4, at 24:00 (Sunday, January 5, at 12am KST.)
