South Korea is finally getting into the trend of “Nap Pods”
Korea is adopting a culture of napping for those looking to find respite from their highly demanding jobs and Koreans are embracing nap pods.
In a country where the average, working Korean takes less than five vacation days a year…
And where workers work the 3rd most hours out of all of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) countries…
Nap cafés are the perfect solution to relieving some of the stress from a working Korean’s life, and they’re popping up everywhere.
These cafés have individual beds or massage chairs in privacy for workers to come relax during their lunch hours.
One hour-and-a-half session in one of these pods cost about $8.80 USD.
Many Koreans said they actually loved the idea and would happily skip eating to just get a little shut-eye.
Hopefully, this move toward self-care will have a positive effect on the stressful working culture of Korea.
