South Korea Enraged At Sexual Predator’s Shameless DMs Sent To His 6th Grader Victim

South Koreans are enraged at the news of two men in their 20s getting charged for sexual assault of a 6th-grade girl approached via a chatting app.
TJB news reported that one of the two men visited the girl’s apartment around 1:50 AM after checking if her parents were home and raped her. Then, 10 hours later, the other man came to the apartment to do the same.
According to the news report, the two men—one in the workforce and the other in school—became acquainted with the girl in a random chatroom where the girl was seeking advice for having depression and difficulties making friends at school. The men are said to have known that the girl was a minor when approaching her and, later, assaulting her.
The girl’s homeroom teacher, who found bruises on her arms to be suspicious, reported the findings to the local police who, then, began investigating the case. The men’s identities were confirmed via CCTV footage, leaving the parents hopeful for a prompt arrest.
The prosecution, however, has since dismissed the arrest warrant, considering it was their first offense and noting that there is no risk of flight based on how cooperative the men had been with the investigation.
These predators… They have gone back to school and their workplace. Their lives haven’t changed. But we, as victims, live in fear. We don’t know what could happen, so we’re in a constant state of fear.

In addition to the crime itself and the prosecution’s lack of will to arrest the predators, the details of the Instagram DMs have also left Koreans in sheer disgust. The messages shared as screenshots in the news report show how persistent the men had been in ensuring the girl was home alone—as well as threatening to “expose” her after all that had been done.
Man 1: Call your parents right now and ask them where they are.
Girl: Hold on.
Man 1: Okay.
Girl: Where are you?
Man 1: Somewhere close by.
Girl: Okay.
Man 1: Ask them, hurry up.
Girl: They’re on their way.
(Assumed to mean heading away from the house)Man 1: So you’re sure they’re gone?
Girl: Yes.
Man 1: Still anxious about this…
Man 1: [Video Call Ended 1:39 AM]
Man 1: All right, then.
Girl: Okay.
Girl: What? How do you know?
Man 1: I know everything. I even know where you live. Haha.
Girl: ??
Man 1: I noticed you’ve been acting funny, so…
Man 1: How cute. You’re throwing a fit.
Girl: ?
Man 1: Just know that I’m working on making something to show your friend. You just wait.
Girl: ??
Man 1: I’m going to DM one of your friends and let them know what we did.
Man 1: Sending now, BRB.
Girl: Ugh.
Koreans remain voicing their disappointment in the prosecution for not granting the arrest warrants for the men.

- “This is insane… They went after a minor!”
- “When will the authorities start acting right?”
- “Why let them live? Men like that deserve to have their dicks cut off.”
- “Show us their faces. Disclose their identities!”
- “We need to know who these men are. They need to be condemned.”
- “Please, let’em die.”
- “No risk of flight, huh? Isn’t that strange? Korea must be such a nice place for the criminals to live. They don’t have to run because they’re not scared.”
- “Dismissed the warrants, huh?”
- “I don’t understand how the sole basis for an arrest warrant is whether there is a risk of flight or not. What about the risk of committing the same crime again? Start arresting people!”
- “Pedophiles don’t deserve to live.”
